An Israeli delegation headed by Orit Noked visited Sergo Karapetyan, Armenian Minister of Agriculture. At the meeting held on 16 April in Yerevan, both politicians focused on discussing the opportunities of cooperation regarding stock raising and fishery development. Next, the Israeli Minister declared: “The agreement between our countries has been confirmed and I hope next days will bring signing of this important document”. Karapetyan, asked about the details, announced: “In my opinion, we share interest in some sectors, such as export of Armenian fruits and vegetables as well as other agricultural produce, wine and brandy to Israel. We are also able to ensure support for Israeli business investing in agriculture in Armenia”.

The Israeli delegation also met with Armenian Catholicos Karekin II and laid flowers at the memorial commemorating the Armenian genocide. Tentative plans of a return visit at the beginning of next month have been already made, despite May being the period of parliamentary elections in Armenia.
